Mini Desserts for Weddings and Events

Dessert tables area trending right now and are a fabulous option for all types of events and occasions including weddings and engagements.  Dessert tables, offer a range of individual bite sized mini desserts and treats.  There are many benefits to having a dessert table rather than the traditional cake or array of desserts.

A dessert table looks amazing and makes a real statement and sets the mood for your event, and provides for some fabulous photo opportunities. Dessert tables allow for a variety of mini cakes, desserts, chocolates and sweets.  One of the benefits of having a dessert table is there is bound to be something to suit everyone’s taste buds.  Another big bonus with a dessert table is they allow for self-service – guests can help themselves when they are ready to eat something sweet.  There is no cutting and serving of a cake required, nor is crockery required.  With dessert tables the items are mini / bite-sized servings, so you don’t end up having plates of uneaten cake to clean up because the servings was too big, but best of all …….  there is no washing up to be done!

The images in the gallery below are from the dessert table created by the very talented Desiree from ‘Cakes by Desiree‘ for Perth Makeup artist Sharne of  ‘Sharne Christie Makeup‘ for her Engagement Party.  The dessert table was styled with several tiered white wooden stands with romantic soft bridal tulle, single tall white church candles with touches of muted and gold florals.  A small acrylic dessert menu sign with white vinyl lettering finished the table by displaying the dessert menu consisting of Passionfruit and White Chocolate Pana Cottas, Lemon Meringue Tarts, Cookies and Cream Pyramids, Mini Chocolate Cupcakes and Personalised Cookies with the words ‘Sharne and Michael’ made by Camryn from ‘Sugar Cookies Perth‘.

Images of the dessert table from the Engagement of Sharne and Michael held at Steves Bar and Cafe on The Avenue in Nedlands, Perth.

The cakes and mini desserts from Desiree taste even better than they look!  For more cake and dessert inspiration or bookings visit Cakes by Desiree.
