Artificial Flowers are In
Whatever you like to call them, fake, faux or artificial flowers are becoming more and more popular for wedding bouquets, table centrepieces, corsages, backdrops, and all types of event decorations.
The quality of silk artificial flowers has improved over the years and quality faux flowers can look the real deal. The fake flowers from yesteryears were manufactured with low grade materials and looked cheap and nasty, they even had that horrible plastic smell. Fortunately, today’s fake flowers are manufactured with new high quality materials and look very realistic and life like.

We attended a wedding recently and walked into the Reception held at the Crown Ballroom in Perth and the room looked stunning. The tables had large gold stands with beautiful soft pink and cream floral arrangements. They were so stunning, I even took a photo to show my daughters. It wasn’t until half way through the evening after staring at them so much because they were so nice, that we realised they were not fresh flower arrangements.
If you are considering faux flowers for your event, we recommend engaging a florist or a floral creative to design your arrangements, as they have access to the highest quality flowers and know all the tricks of the trade to make your arrangement look as life like as possible. We would not recommend purchasing flowers online and attempting to create yourself as you cannot see the quality of the flowers until they arrive. Reading reviews and comments from people who have set out to do this, they have been very disappointed with the quality of the flowers, looking very plastic, leaves and flowers falling off, lots of stringy, visible glue over them etc.
